I used to post art online a whole bunch, but around 2019 started deleting, uninstalling, or simply not logging onto various social media sites because I realized how much of my day was spent on them. It's been great for my mental health, but I do miss posting my art sometimes. The initial goal of making this page is to give myself a low-stakes, low-pressure space for posting my work, something akin to blogging, and re-learning how to do basic web design so my skills don't get too rusty.

There is something I find gratifying about making something, sharing it out, and moving on. Sometimes it means I get helpful feedback or recommendations for how to improve, but more often it just feels like a way of saying "okay, I'm done with this, time to try something new" or to move onto the next step of a project. I wanted to make a space to try doing that again, though I have no clue how consistent my posting will be. I also haven't used HTML from scratch since my earliest internet days customizing Neopets' pet pages, so I'm not expecting a particularly gorgeous website as I get started, but who knows?

I would not consider myself a professional artist by any means, though I have done some paid commission work of my drawings, digital art, and various hand crafts. Which is kind of cool when I think about it! If that is something I am going to continue to pursue, I will figure out some way to contact me at some point.

Maybe as a result of growing up in an earlier time on the world wide web, or maybe just from my preference to be a more private person, but I aim not to share any personal/identifiable information on here.
